Gas-tight enclosure is provided for the precision measuring of liquid levels in bulk storage tanks using inertia principles. As the measuring tape is wound into its box, either vertically or horizontally, the counter registers the corresponding number of turns made by the tape: once the measuring tape is fully unwound the gravity action will be equal to the tape’s pulling force.

With Viachar, the tape is calibrated in either metric or English systems; the measurement marking fills the circumference of the tape and provides easy reading.

Also, the tape and sensor are both stratified with anti-static substance, which will help minimize dirt accumulation on the sensor. Moreover, color coding of the tape will aid in providing enhanced tape tracking, direction indication, complete retraction, and motion tracking, which improves operational ease.

This type of construction assures many global governing bodies that this tape-measuring device is a permanent tape-measuring system, provided that the tape is contained within a valve during the filling and emptying processes.
